My Husband and I went to see the Tim Mcgraw’s Two Lanes of Freedom Summer tour over the weekend and I wanted to do a review on his amazing performance that night! Tim Mcgraw performed at the American Bank Center that is in Corpus Christi, Texas! We went to go see him on Friday, 6/21 at 7pm. His concert rocked and we will definitely be going to his concerts in the future!
Going to the concert was a bit hectic and I will admit, we ran a little late. We were stuck in traffic getting there. It took us about fifty minutes to get there, when it should have only taken about 20 minutes. I was wearing a bright yellow top, blue jeans and black shoes. My Husband wore a Wrangler dark blue t-shirt, jeans and black shoes. It took him about 10 minutes to get ready and it took me around 30 minutes. Even though we were running late, it was no biggie at all because Tim Mcgraw didn’t start performing until 8:30pm. Brantley Gilbert was the concert’s opening act and was already performing when we arrived. Although I never heard of Brantley Gilbert, he did a great job performing. He sang some really great songs and I was really impressed! As time went on, the American Bank Center started becoming more and more full and the excitement began to grow. We had really good seats too. They weren’t great seats, like the floor seats, but I was able to see Tim Mcgraw and that’s all that mattered.
After Brantley Gilbert’s performance, everyone waited patiently for Tim Mcgraw to come out. I would say it took 30 minutes or so after Brantley Gilbert performed. Tim Mcgraw came out and everyone was cheering and standing up. I was looking at the stage and didn’t see him, so I didn’t know what was going on at the time. Finally after looking around, I noticed that Tim Mcgraw came out at the very top upper right side of the American Bank Center (we were seated in the center section) and people were able to touch him and shake his hand. He had security officers all around him, of course. I just thought it was awesome that he didn’t start his concert on the stage, but rather in the crowd. It was a great way to start off the concert. He then made his way down the American Bank Center and on to the stage.
When Tim Mcgraw came on stage, that’s when the real fun began! He came out wearing tight blue jeans, a dark grey shirt, a cowboy hat and belt. He started singing some of his old time song hits along with some of his newly released ones. I have been a Tim Mcgraw fan ever since I was a kid, so I knew almost every song of his. I knew almost all of the lyrics too. My Husband, not so much. I took out my camera and pink iPod and immediately started taking pictures and videos. I am not a photographer by any means, but I took some great photos that night. I took two-hundred and twenty photos and 5 videos to be exact. I know, crazy right?
Tim Mcgraw sang a lot of songs that night. Some of the songs that he sang were “Live Like You Were Dying”, “How Bad Do You Want It”, “I Like It, I Love It”, “Indian Outlaw”, “Highway Don’t Care”, “Truck Yeah”, and “One of Those Nights”. His performance was great! With every new song, the scene changed in the background and he was really working the stage and the audience! The audience was even displayed on the big screen behind him at times. He didn’t stop performing until around 11:30pm. Even though he had performed for a long time that night, I never wanted it to end and was extremely sad that it did. Great job, Tim Mcgraw! I just became an even bigger Tim Mcgraw fan and I didn’t know that was even possible! Thank you for reading my Tim Mcgraw concert review! Have a great week!
